Warming at the Heart is a new outreach opportunity for Spring Lake to love Green Bay and to share the gospel in word and action. Together with seven other local churches, Spring Lake will be helping provide a warm, safe, inviting environment for the guests of St. John's Ministries and our unhoused neighbors during the shelter season (November 1 to April 30).
Many people in Green Bay do not know that on Sundays, there are no free, open locations for homeless individuals to spend the afternoon. Some will go a local church in the mornings, but after services there are no places for them to hang out and stay warm. To solve this problem, Samaritan's Heart Mission Church has opened their doors on Sunday afternoons. Each Sunday, one of the eight church partners will facilitate an afternoon of watching football games or movies, shooting hoops, creating crafts, playing cards or games, socializing, and/or having Bible studies.
Come join one of the six person teams as we help provide a respectful and caring environment for all. Shifts are from 12:30pm to 4:30pm on various dates.

While washed out roads, power outages and disrupted cell service have slowed the ability to assess the situation and connect with churches, Crisis Response staff are currently visiting sites in Florida.
